What Have The Schools Come To?

On Friday, a track coach in suburban Boston was fired becuase his boys track team weren't wearing their shirts on a 75 degree day. He was let go on the spot and escorted of school property. He wasn't even given a reason for his firing. And all this because a few girls felt "uncomfortable" about the boys not having shirts on.

The team was undefeated with their 2-year coach. However, when he was fired, they lost their first meet.

Alright, this is a high school team. So, there should be high school girls. Last time I checked, most girls like guys without shirts??  And, if the boys are in track, they should be fit, yes? So, whats the issue? Are the girls seriously THAT prude that they freak out over a guy not having a shirt on?? Just wow. It's those kind of girls that annoy me endlessly.

Also, if I were the coach, I would be pissed. Beyond it. Fired in front of my team because of a few annoying prude little girls. Not to mention that my team was probably very hot. I mean, 75 degrees outside & you're out running around. Thats just cruel. Besides, it's not like it was a girls team going topless. It was boys!! You see shirtless men in public ALL THE TIME.

Just... I honestly can't explain how mad this story made me without using quite a bit of "Unappropriate School Language." So, I'm just going to go.

    So, are you saying if the guys weren't in shape or fit...so not as "good" to look at, he should've been fired :)

    If the girls felt uncomfortable...they should've told him...and then he could've had the guys put back on their shirts....and there wouldn't have been a problem. I think this (firing) is taking it way too far.

    The girls were upset cause they couldnt take there shirts off jk. but that is dumb that he was fired for that

    You do get warm running around for a few hours. I'm in track, and even if it's windy and right around 37 degrees, I run without a sweater, 'cause it gets warm!

    First, of course its gonna be hot, second; maybe the should have at least let the guy off for a few weeks instead of firing him.

    Ms. Flik... Not necessarily. I'm not saying if his team weren't fit that he should have been fired. Whether his team is "good looking" or not, firing IS taking it too far.

    I agree that the girls should have just gone to the coach or the boys. NOT thrown a ridiculous hissy fit. It's just stupid.

    that is f***ing Retared! I Would think that the school would not have cared. Because if you were there would you care? If it helps them win track meats then why complan?
